About Exo Booster
- This treatment is not suitable for all skin types, clients are required to have a complimentary consultation prior to treatment to determine suitability. At your complimentary consultation, your therapist will create a tailored preparation plan based on your skin type. Adhering to your preparation plan is key to achieving optimum results from your Skin Microneedling treatment.
2 weeks prior to treatment:
- Avoid Laser Hair Removal, waxing, depilatory creams, and IPL treatments on the face
- Avoid Cosmetic Grade Peels
- Avoid Cosmetic Injectables
- Avoid sun exposure, always wear SPF
- For clients prone to hyperpigmentation, we advise you to prep the skin with a melanin inhibitor such as the Skinstitut® Even Blend serum, this includes all skin types capable of producing melanin. This will help reduce the risk of hyperpigmentation after the treatment.
1 week prior to treatment:
- Avoid exfoliators, acids or any retinol or vitamin A-based products.
- Avoid touching the treated area over the next few hours
- Do not apply makeup, serums or sunscreens to the skin until the next day
- For the next few mornings and evenings, after cleansing skin, dispense a few drops of Exo Booster onto clean hands and gently massage into skin
- After applying Exo Booster, you can apply your usual moisturiser and sunscreen
- Use correct aftercare including gentle hydrating products such as the Skinstitut® Gentle Cleanser, Normal Moisturiser and Rejuvenate 15 serum (contains copper peptides which can furhter help accelerate wound healing)
- Once the Exo-Booster vial has been used up, and your skin returns to normal, you may continue with your usual skincare routine
- Any redness and irritation will subside within 3-4 hours. For the first 48 hours, avoid excessive sun exposure, hot showers, saunas, and strenuous exercise
- Avoid swimming, strenuous exercises, saunas or extreme heat for at least the next 24-48 hours
- Don't pull or pick any loose skin after the treatment
- Exosomes + Microneedling + Yellow LED can be performed every 4-6 weeks, with the best results seen after a course of 3 treatments.
- To maintain your glow, maintenance treatments can be done every 3–6 months.

Is Exo-Booster A Stem Cell?
No. Exo Booster contains exosomes which are secreted by cells (they are not cells). Therefore, they cannot replicate or transform because they are cell-free and DNA free.

What Type Of Exosomes Are In Exo-Booster?
The exosomes in Exo-Booster are derived from Lactobacillus bacteria, which is created in a laboratory through plant-based fermentation. This bacteria comes from cabbage, where it naturally exists. The product is vegan.

Is Exo-Booster Painful?
When applied topically to the skin on its own there is no pain. If Exo-Booster is used in conjunction with other treatment modalities, some slight discomfort may occur (primarily from the other device).

Is There Any Downtime With Exo-Booster Treatments?
Depending on how Exo Booster is administered it often has minimal to no downtime. Some treatments that Exo Booster are combined with may have side effects of heat, bruising, swelling and redness. This is temporary and relieves within a few days. Other less common side effects may include tenderness, raised bumps under the skin, allergic reaction, itching or a mild rash.

Once opened, Exo Booster should be stored in the fridge and used within 7 days.
